Grade 2 competition, 6th February 2005, Harrow
Report by Lisa Borthwick
After an early start, Skybound had a good but bleary eyed day on Sunday 6th February at the Grade 2 qualifier at Harrow.

It was great to see Shannon Roles compete in her first grade 2. Despite making a mistake in her set, she gained a score of 51.6 which meant she managed to get the score she needs to remain at grade 2 and an excellent position of 12th out of 37.
Next to compete was Lisa Borthwick. It was the first time she had competed her new set and did very well but unfortunately her voluntary routine did not go quite to plan. Overall she gained a respectable 27th place out of 42 with a score of 49.8.
In the afternoon, Michelle Borthwick was competing in the validation section to qualify to grade 1. It was only the second time she had competed a double back. She made a mistake in her set but her voluntary routine was excellent. She did very well, as her routines were more difficult than usual and she gained a personnal best score on her second routine.
All in all, Skybound had a great day and well done to all the competitors. We also need to say thank you to our coach, Tony Fricker and judge Deborah Borthwick as they also suffered from an early morning.
Well done everybody, what a great start to the grade 2 season.
