Grades 5-3 competition, 16th January 2005, Gillingham
Skybound had a fantastic day at the grades 5-3 competition in Gillingham yesterday. Below is a picture of the squad taken at the competition by our club's own David Bailey (in training), Doree!
A great day was had by the whole squad.
Our team was lead by our senior ladies, Bec Lewis and Donna Borthwick. Bec gained 1st in the grade 3 event and qualified to compete at grade 2. Donna competed well at her first competition back with the Skybound team and gained 9th place. Welcome back Donna. The other grade 3 competitor was Shannon Roles who also qualified to move to grade 2 and gained 2nd place.
Alice Doughty was the club's representative at grade 4. Well done Alice with 8th place.
At grade 5 was our Under 15 girls team who pulled well together supporting each other and as a result gained team 3rd in the event. Well done also to the team members for their individual placings; Jodie Sutherland 3rd, Lydia Perkins 11th and Lucy Wiggins 21st. Also at grade 5 for the first time we had Amy Thomas who seemed to have the most energy out of everyone on the day and gained 18th in her group. We also had impressive results from Samantha Sheppard who was 4th with Katie Wiggins 7th.
Well done all. What a team.
