Grades 5-3 competition, 15th January 2006, Gillingham
Skybound had a fantastic day at the grades 5-3 competition in Gillingham yesterday. Below is a picture of the squad taken at the competition.
Our team was lead by our senior over 17 lady, Michelle Borthwick who was visiting grade 3 for a bit of a change of scenery before her return to grade 2 in February. This is because not only winning her group by 1.6 marks she managed to qualify to move back to grade 2. Well done Michelle.
Skybound was represented at grade 4 by Jodie Sutherland, Lucy Wiggins, Katie Wiggins and Alice Doughty. All the girls bounced well maintaining good scores within their groups despite all competitors from all the clubs there being scored lower due to the change in judging rules. Jodie and Alice only just missed out on gaining a place on the winners rostrum. Well done you all.
At grade 5 were our junior club members. Amy Thomas in the Under 11 girls and Samantha Sheppard in the Under 9 girls. Both competed well. We were pleased to see the return of Amy's barani and Sam bounced well and ended up gaining a good placing.
Well done all. What a team. I know I can speak for all the club coaches when I say you do us proud!
